Why is it not working?

Imagine a person that has just bought a brand new car, gets home and decides to fill the tank with water.  He then complains that the car is not working sounds silly l know.  The reason why the car is not working is obvious to all.

Or imagine another person that buys an alarm clock and refuses to put a battery in it then complains that it is not working.

The things of the Lord equally have principles which make them work, and one of such is our faith. I once listened to a preacher that narrated an experience. ‘ A lady came to me to ask for prayer  for her child who was ill.  I had a check in my spirit and asked first ‘ how is your marriage?’. To cut a long story short he found out that there was  fighting and strife in the home. The Lord then told the minister that this was the reason their faith was not working. They dealt with the problems and the child was healed.

 Galatians 5:6

For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

One condition for our faith to work is our obedience to walk in love. This is why the enemy tries his best to get us out of the love walk. We need to remember that walking in love is about us and not the other person.

1 John 3:14

We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death

This passage is talking to Christians. A hard saying, yes but true.

Romans 5:5

And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

The Lord will not tell us to do what we cannot do.

Cars work with petrol, clocks work with batteries, faith works by love.

Let us walk in love as commanded by the Lord. This will help us get better results.
