The most approachable person you will ever meet!

Have you ever come across some people and even to say hello is a tog of war? You just feel that there is an imaginary wall around them. However, you meet some other people and they are so approachable, so easy to talk too, you could tell them your life history with no hesitation.

From scripture it is evident that Jesus during his earthly ministry was very approachable and He still is because He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Hebrews 13:8 (King James Version)  Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

There are so many examples you can find in scripture to confirm this.

Matthew 6 verse 6 to 10  Now when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper,  There came unto him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at meat.  But when his disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste?  For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor.  When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me.

For this woman to be able to show her Love to the Lord in this way means  , our Lord Jesus Christ must have been very approachable. Yes she had a good motive from Jesus’ response, but the thought of her trying to do that to express her love for the Lord must have been born out of, ‘ I know l will be able to do it;. I know he wont push me away, I know l won’t be stopped. Just imagine sitting at a table and someone pouring oil on your head. I see so much humility in this.

When you look at scripture, you see the Pharisees and Sadducees asking him questions.  None was stopped and He answered them all with wisdom. They did not need to book appointments either. The only time the disciples tried to stop the children to come to Jesus, Jesus rebuked his disciples. Matthew 19: 13 – 14 Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them.  But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

Many approached Jesus for healing and He healed them all. So much to learn from the person of Jesus, no protocol, just come.

We should now have no hesitation to approach our Lord as we look at Hebrews 4:16   Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Have you been trying to speak to someone that you think has the answers to your problem and it seems you can’t reach them? Don’t worry; turn to Him that has all the fullness of wisdom and knowledge. Colossians 2:3   In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

He is ever ready to receive and hear you.

Matthew 11: 28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Our Lord is approachable, no need to hold back!.

  1. Amen. I like that part…no need for appointments. Anytime, He is available to hear our petitions, to wipe our tears and calm our fears. What other person can do all that…if not our Saviour.

Thank you for this wonderful reminder.

    Love, Gladwell
