Lessons from Paul’s greetings!

Its very easy to just brush over Pauls greetings in the bible and wonder why they are there.

Everything recorded in the bible has a purpose which includes Pauls greetings.

Apart from the obvious value of relationship base Christianity, working together with others in the Lord, other lessons can also be learned.

Lets look at a few  descriptions of Paul’s greetings.

 Romans 16:

10Salute Apelles approved in Christ. Salute them which are of Aristobulus’ household.

12Salute Tryphena and Tryphosa, who labour in the Lord.

Salute the beloved Persis, which laboured much in the Lord.

13Salute Rufus chosen in the Lord, and his mother and mine.

Did you notice those descriptions for certain individuals?

 Approved in Christ

Labour in the Lord

Laboured much in the Lord

Chosen in the Lord.

  Great descriptions!

If Paul or your Pastor/ Home church leader was to describe you in a letter today, what description would they use?

 Food for thought.

  1. Wow. Thanks for this one. Yes…I wonder what how someone would describe me. Food for thought!!!

  2. What a great post! We all need this reminder. It reminds me of the saying, “If you were on trial for being a Christian would there be enough evidence to convict you?”
May God continue to bless your ministry Bisi.
