Mans feelings about you has nothing to do with the Lords Steadfast love towards you.

Have you ever been in a position where it appears everyone around you did not like you?

The reality of life is that not everyone will like you.

However when some people decide to hate you its got absolutely nothing to do with the steadfast love of the Lord towards us.  You may have displeased the Lord but it does not change His Love towards you. The wise will make amends and restore their fellowship. We need to be secured in His love for us.

 Genesis 29: 31 – 35

And when the LORD saw that Leah was hated, he opened her womb: but Rachel was barren.

And Leah conceived, and bare a son, and she called his name Reuben: for she said, Surely the LORD hath looked upon my affliction; now therefore my husband will love me.

And she conceived again, and bare a son; and said, Because the LORD hath heard I was hated, he hath therefore given me this son also: and she called his name Simeon.

And she conceived again, and bare a son; and said, Now this time will my husband be joined unto me, because I have born him three sons: therefore was his name called Levi.

And she conceived again, and bare a son: and she said, Now will I praise the LORD: therefore she called his name Judah; and left bearing.

Leah must have gone through a very difficult time. But what did the Lord do? The Lord opened her womb because she was hated.  Leah herself knew that the Lord opened her womb because of this. This must have been very reassuring to Leah in the midst of a very difficult situation.

Are you surrounded by people that don’t like you? Be reassured that the Lord loves you. Remember Joseph? His own brothers hated him, but the Lord loved him and gave Joseph great favour.

What am l saying?  It doesn’t matter whom or what sort of difficult people you are surrounded with, the Lord loves you.

Be secured in the Lords love for you.
