How to handle difficult matters!!

Have you ever had to deal with a difficult matter? We can all say yes to that. While the word difficult depends on where you are in life, if the matter is difficult, then it is difficult for you.

It starts from school. John comes from school and says, mum l had a very difficult time in school today What happened? Well some children were calling me names so l decided to take matters into my own hands and now l am in trouble with the headteacher? Does this sound familiar?

When we go through difficult times, its how we handle it that matters. Have you ever looked back and said ‘ l wished l had handled that better’, we all have.

Proverbs 16: 20

He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the LORD, happy is he.

The scripture above is clear. We need to handle matters wisely. While the matter does not necessary need to be difficult for the purpose of this article l will refer to difficult matters only. When we find ourselves in difficult situations with family, friends, acquaintances, work colleagues the best thing we can do is ask the Lord for wisdom to be able to handle the matter wisely.

Its only when we handle the matter wisely that we shall find good. Dealing with matters otherwise will only breed in more problems. James 1: 5 says, If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

So next time you find yourself in a difficult situation, ask the Lord for wisdom to deal with the matter wisely.

  1. God is the source of all good things including wisdom.

    Thanks for the post.

  2. This is a very practical word. Christians always talk about the need to walk by faith, but as you stated we must walk in wisdom as well.
