The Cost of One-Sided Relationships

One Way   Many of us have read the book of Judges (Judges 16; 1 – 26) with the account of Samson, and thought “how can someone do that”? Well in reality it did happen. Reading this recently, l saw something different.

Judges 16;4 says it all “And it came to pass afterward, that he loved a woman in the valley of Sorek, whose name was Delilah”. This verse clearly states that “he loved a woman”, however it is very clear from the account that Delilah did not love him. Read full article from here:

The impact of our faith on our children

FamilyMany of us are familiar with the account of Abraham and his obedience when God asked him to offer up his only son. The account can be found in the 22nd chapter of Genesis.  We have heard sermons of how faithful Abraham was in obeying the Lord, however have we ever thought about the impact on Isaac?

Trusting the character of God

trust-1418901_1280Do you have a friend that you know very well? You can vouch for the person at any time.
Let’s assume you had an appointment with the person and he/she didn’t show up. By virtual of the knowledge you know of the person,  you would be convinced that something out of the persons control must have happened because the trend is “out of character”.
We will not always have the answers or know how things will plan out, but one thing is sure “God is faithful”. When we don’t understand, we must trust God for who He is.

Work in progress!!

 

work in progress finalHave you ever walked pass a building site and seen a yellow sign “Work in progress”, most of us have. When we see the sign, we are not expecting a perfect building while the process is taking place.

Growth is a process. Having a baby is a good example. All babies grow up however it’s a process and it takes time.  In light of that, lets have a look at this scripture: Ephesians 4: 15  “ But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ”.
